Testing CFV16II 80 Planar +1 Zeiss Diopter by Nokton48, on Flickr

Hasselblad EL/M with New to Me CFV16II Digital Back. 80mm Black T* Planar with Zeiss 1 Diopter Lens. EI 50 Handheld.

I think I need to adjust the color temperature.

Looks nice, but yes: the color is somewhat off the mark. I nipped a copy of your photo (temporarily) and checked it in LR Classic. Setting the White Point tool on the white petal of a flower, it adjusted Temp by -48 and Tint by -41 on its scales, which netted a perfect, natural color rendering.

Hmmm It was suggested by a Friend with this same back, to change the color temperature on the slider in the back menu. The file looks kinda MAGENTA to me, I wonder if I will need to adjust every capture, or maybe the back isn't set right. I'm a total Noob 🙂 My other back (CFV16I) has beautiful color right out of the camera.

Well, if you can find the right color temperature setting to change on the back, that would save having to adjust in post. The adjustments that LR Classic did with the color temperature tool were to combat the magenta-ish original color temperature by sliding over to a more cyan temperature along with adjusting the tint a little bit to the green to suit. I'd probably need the original raw file to get precise color temperature values.

Thanks Godfrey! That's very helpful.

CFV16II Color Adjusted 80 Planar by Nokton48, on Flickr

Here reset the defaults on the back. Overcast cool light 80 Planar CFV16II Hasselblad Digital Back. I did adjust the color curves with Flikr Editor. I have a copy of Flexcolor for Mac 4.8.13 circa 2011. It's got QP Greycard for color control. Working on installing it, right now my helper says the operating systems are a mismatch. This will be cool when I get it going. Flexcolor also controls the camera controls when it's tethered. I've told KEH I'm keeping this digital back, I think I can get it to behave.
