A heart-warming story about....FILM

MMmmm.
I think film is a good choice. I reccomend it to people who ask me about these things.
I use the shoe box storage method and find it easy to access what I want. you get used to it.
I never find enough time to scan what I want though.
Most of the work on my website is digital ( shame ).
Digital storage is a nightmare if you shoot Raw, which I do.

There was a thread a little while ago where someone said they thought their Nikon DSLR gave better high ISO performance than comparable film.
I believe you and I, Jan, agreed that some fast film like Fuji 800 still looks as good or better, so I'll just re-state that!

8. Storage of images would be very different, as she well knew. Basically negatives versus a variety of digital storage possibilities which I described (her past experience with managing images on the computer did not make her excited about more of the same)...
She is more than happy to go to Costco for prints and a CD and she's reassured to once again be dealing with real-life negatives as opposed to computer files and folders.

What a happy story.
I think I was the one who moved the topic to film vs. digital storage, but per the quote above, I'm not sure how off topic that is.
