Hi!
does a little crack on the perimeter of an internal lens of a collapsible 50mm ELMAR imply quality problems?
Maybe it was caused by an old unhandy repair operation.
Maybe I need to use it only with closed f values to avoid problems?
Thanks.
PS:
I found this lens forgotten with other lower-value lenses somewhere in my house.
I would like to use it on my M3.

I think the only way you are going to know is to try it and see. If it is just a crack, and not far into the center of the lens, probably won't be too much of a problem. Especially at smaller apertures. However, if whatever caused it also changed the alignment of the lens, that would be another matter.
Whichever, good luck with it.
