You are very lucky to be able to recycle so much metal. Anything metal or plastic smaller than two inches in two directions is forbidden from being included in our recycling stream. So all the film cassettes, 120 spools, lids, caps, pill bottles etc. are simply trash. For living in such a "green" state I find this appalling, but there is nothing to be done without an enormous investment in machinery that nobody can afford to make.
Our recycling is probably pretty equal parts cardboard and wine/cider bottles, which would make up about 60% of it, followed by paper (mail - junk or no longer necessary), cans and a small amount of plastic.
We are soon to have mandatory composting, so all food waste will be removed from the 'trash' side of waste.
