So, I'll head to London tomorrow, and just realised I don't have enough film (8 rolls of Tri-X and a bit of this and that). Is there a place where I can get Tri-X/Arista or Neopan/Legacy or HP5 even for less than 4-5GBP per roll?
I'll take my M4+35mm f1.2 and M2+50mm f2 plus another small 35 and either the 90mm f2 or 21mm f4.
or maybe just the M4+35 and M2+50. will decide tomorrow morning I guess.
whoopie!

You could try the Jessop shop not far from the British Museum, or RG Lewis, just north of Holborn tube station on (I think) Southampton Row.

Jessops are outrageously expensive - when they actually have film.
Calumet on Berwick Street always used to have great pricing on Tri-X, around £2.80, altho their website seems to suggest they're now more expensive than Silverprint.

Silverprint are one of only two places in the UK I know of that still sell 127 (the other is AG Photographic), so I reckon they're pretty serious about their film. I think Jessops are a lottery for film these days.

+1 for Silverprint, but Jacobs at 74 New Oxford St, London WC1A 1EU is more central and still had fridges full of film last time I was there. Prices probably higher than Silverprint, which is something of a treasure-trove for film users. Buy obscure chemicals and items of darkroom kit there too.

Silverprint.
I'll see if I still have any. I probably have bulk-rolled APX100.

If you use a 'foreign' credit card at Silverprint they do not charge you VAT. So if you are a tourist don't use cash!

Or ......
Calumet on Wardour Street (Just off Oxford Street) who always have plenty of Tri-X in their fridge and are usually pretty reasonable.

Another vote for Calumet, large selection of film.Tri x used to be cheap there .try to avoid Jessops & Boots if you can there are still independent shops where you'll get a better deal.

You do need to go to Silverprint ashfaque, then walk up the road to the Cypriot fish and chip restaraunt (Masters) and have some bloody good grub and cheap but nice red wine.

YES! that sounds like my kind of plan. I'll put that in my little notebook.

10 rolls or more of Ilford products gets you 30% off at Silverprint. Should have mentioned that earlier...

Cheers Kully. I don't drink alcohol for religious reason. But I'll definitely try the fish, because I like fish and chips. I especially like the soft nature of the chips from fish and chippy shops here in Nottingham. hmmm feeling hungry!

Good suggestions. On the opposite side of the street as you walk down from Waterloo there's Lower Marsh; terrific cheapo Thai café on the right, and then further down, the Scooter Café; superb coffees made on an old 1950s Faema machine, to a soundtrack of Blue Note jazz. Definitely one of the best coffee places in London.
