I don't know if you have seen this, but Lisandra Sandiago (A Professional Photographer) did a very interesting test series with the E-M5 in JPG mode at ISO 1600 to 6400.

I've shot quite a bit at 3200 and I will testify that they are incredible!

its not you, they are clean. frankly, i was amazed at the jpeg results i got at high iso's with this camera. very comparable to the now iconic x100, that i also have. believe it or not, imo, it is actually IQ at base iso that i think could be better. perhaps its because i keep comparing to cameras without AA fliters, but at base iso, theres a lack of clarity or crispness throughout the image that i see from the M8, GXR, fuji etc. but at high iso, amazing!

A hell of a camera... but can't stand actually holding it. I wanted to like it, but ultimately, it felt too much like a computer for me.
