as many of you know, luigi, of leicatime, sent me a new style half case for the zeiss ikon camera.
it is a beauty in black leather and the camera just slides into place.
it feels great and on a cold day helps to protect your hands.

in keeping with his generous nature, luigi is sending me another case, one of his older style half cases, also in black.
it is the more form fitting case and will suit my small hands better.
(yes, i have small hands but a big heart!)

anyway, luigi has asked a favour.
to sell the first case to someone here at rff and then send the money to a favourite charity.
i think luigi also has a big heart!

so, if you have a nekkid zeiss ikon and want to contribute to your favourite charity, let me know.
i'm thinking the simple thing to do is for the buyer to send off a contribution to a charity and just email me a copy/scan of the receipt and then i'll ship the case.

the case sells for about $97 u.s. and i'm thinking maybe a contribution of about 75 or 80 dollars?
i will pay for the shipping to you.

wouldn't it be nice to have the case all ready for your zi when it arrives?

ya know, when i look real close at this case, i think i can see a big D in the leather...

I'd jump on this, but he's making mine right now

What do you mean by there being two kinds of cases?

Luigi is absolutely one of a kind--wonderfully personable, eager to please, and a true
professional in all he does. I have some of his straps and they are THE best. Maybe
come day I'll manage a case. He has them for the CL now, right?

Fred

ps--I'm a little guy (5'6"), but with big hands and a small heart....

i need to bump this up a bit.

i had someone, a very new member, p.m. me about this case.
i must apologize...i have been a bit distracted and only now have started to answer emails.
but i think i have deleted yours as i can't seem to find it.
if you are still interested please p.m. me again.

Luigi's cases are such a delight to use. If you have a ZI and don't have a Luigi case, you really owe it to youself to get this one. The one I have for my Canon 7 is simply the most delightful piece of leather I have ever had the pleasure of holding. I've been lucky enough to own some very good leather; this is in a world class all of its own.

Even if you can't afford it (and I really couldn't) scrape the pennies together anyway. You will be amazed at how something so simple can make your shooting an even more pleasant experiance.

Sweet offer. I'm tempted, but I really love his hand sewn cases.

So does the prospective buyer choose the charity, Joe?

i just received the other case in today's mail.

very beautiful, i didn't know that leather could smell this good:)

it makes an already good looking camera even better looking.
zeiss would have been smart to have the first limited edition run of cameras dressed by luigi.

so the first case is still available, send $75. to your favourite charity, collect your income tax receipt and send me a copy and the case will be yours.

that's an incredibly good deal.

the phone lines are open...
