a milestone!

By the way, I am thinking that we need to have a RFF New England Spring Gathering. Maybe a Saturday or Sunday close enough for as many of us who would like to get together to reach without more than a couple hour's drive. Boston may be the best place. Let's keep this in mind for when we are safe from sub freezing temperatures, late April or early May perhaps.

i also learned something from rover.
i sometimes dread film processing and will leave it till i have way too many rolls to process. part of the dread, is doing it late at night when i'm too tired to possibly get any enjoyment out of it.
well, in one post, rover mentioned that he had just loaded up a developing tank with some film and would process it at the next most opportune time.

well, this small example of common sense behaviour was like a revelation of epic proportion to me.

i was in the habit of loading up the tanks and processing immediately after, almost always at night, to take advantage of the darkness for loading the film.
this simple change has made a ginormous difference in the experience for me.
in fact, in my bathroom right now are 2 small tanks filled with film ready for processing.

Sounds good! Joerg here tried a get-together a few weeks ago - I couldn't go and I don't know if it panned out or not. Spring may be better - but the guys up in Toronto don't seem to care about the cold weather! 🙂

Excellent idea! See the bloke makes sense!! 😉 And he probably said that at 4:30am!!! 😱

Another one of Ralph's pearls of wisdom: the "playful bid."

I kinda liked it when he described it... a long time ago. Of course, by practicing the "playful bid" he also found himself with a nifty Minolta 50mm lens.

Didncha, Ralph? 😉

Congratulations... and keep them coming! 🙂

Playful bid wins??????????/

Canon 135/3.5...... I sold it, then ended up buying another.
Rigid Summicron..... not upset by this win
Sigma 28mm Canon EF mount..... $30, not bad even though it died a few years later

There has to be more. It gets the adrenaline flowing.
