A new film option

Looks very cool, I've wanted someone to offer this for a while, movie film rolled into 135 canisters, along with processing. It's maybe a little more than I'd want to spend, but it's an ultra-niche product, with pricing to match.

I'll certainly be giving it a try.

I thought their gallery looked pretty ordinary, a bit cool in daylight, which I like, and OK'ish under tungsten.

Thing is, now that tungsten lighting is becoming harder to find than the film what's the point?

what impressed me was how the images looked good even exposed as 3200, comparing to 800z or portra. apart from that, at least to me, it didn't bring any other significant advantage. for less, i could push portra and still get good enough results for my taste.

I really don't see the point of this, given the excellent quality of the film choices out even today.

Why wouldn't you support existing film producers and help ensure the continuation of their products?

I've heard about cinema film being repackaged for decades now...nothing I've ever seen helps it make any more sense.

It's easy to pick ecn-2 film up for next to nothing. Just look for "short ends" or "recans" on ebay or other places and bulk load it yourself.

I'm currently shooting some Kodak 50D originally used for the filming of the Power Rangers movie - ha!
