A new Fuji camera coming soon?

On a probably related note, I see that Fuji hasn't strayed from its 6-months-to-hacking prices with the X100T (it's $200 off at B&H and $300 off at Amazon). In fact, I'm not sure the X100T has even been in people's hands for six months. Good old planned obsolescence.

One thing is clear; if it's impacting the X100T, it's not a monochrome camera or a medium format. Might be the X-Pro2 with a 24mp non-organic sensor or some kind of X100-series elaboration. I'm guessing X-Pro2.

Edit: I notice that it does not apply to the X100T in silver. Why?

if it requires a 'new category' then it cant be a next gen anything thats already out. so imo no new xp2, x100 or hybrid. it can only be one of the following F's: FF, RF or MF. ): either that or Rumour-guy is very loose with his terminology...

Good point. I wouldn't mind some new Fujinon M lenses, and the existence of Fuji's M adapter presages some affinity with that way of life.

A Fuji MF fixed-lens camera wouldn't be bad - but at its price point (not small!), I would hope it would have a stiff alloy body casting.

The X100t price drop for black may just be a coincidence based on lagging sales.

The other way to look at it is that it was over-priced from the start, which it seems to have been to me. Plus, in the digital age six months could easily be half or a third of its product cycle.

Come to think of it, the X100 series really can't be compared to anything else.

Well, I guess we could compare it to previous models. Perhaps it was overpriced vs. the "S" model which was still available when the "T" started shipping. Other than that it IS hard to compare.

Blah, unless its and update to the 645zi, I could care less.

Now if they pack a sensor in that package, ill be taking offers on my organs and limbs.
