What about a long slow lens to use all the time too, say a 365/24?

I'm looking forward to the 365/2.4.
Probably need quite a finder for that puppy...and a lift!
Maybe it just needs to be the slower summarit f24...

I want a fast 24/25 like the 1,2/35 Nokton. I'll be Mr. Kobayashi's bestest new friend.
Or a 28/1.4.
I'd settle.
Imagine the possibilities for us m8 guys: a real 35 length lux...

I'd really like a fast 85/90. 1.4 or so. Will go perfectly with the 35/1.2
And this is no joke.
Cheers,

And VC will have to make a body with long enough EBL to focus it

Well...you might be right,Double Negative, but if I met him, I'd see no harm in asking.

I loved my Ektar 203 f7.7 even if it had a silly aperture. Wish I had never sold it.
I want one. When I can decide what to sell to fund the purchase. Pair it with the 127/4.7 for the ultimate tiny, light, small, sharp, backpacking Dynamic Duo.

They've got that covered

Those are the high side of the odds your sample will be a good one

There's an even chance he'll release a 50/50.

Just an M mount 75/2.5 and I'd be happy. I know it sounds fussy but I do love the simplicity of native mounts. Actually make that a 75/2 and I'll be over the moon.
They'll have to release it pretty quick though cause I'll be buying the LTM 75 soon!

Re: the OP. I wonder if the 24/7 will be coated for winter shooting.

Did you say Nippon Kogaku
Question is, do you think Mr. K. would offer it in SC mount?

Good point. We need three versions:
Multicoated for frequent use below freezing.
Single coated for temperate climes.
Uncoated or 'tropical' version.

Yeah, I don't get the 77/2 either.
I think a nice workaday lens would be a 9 (cm) 2.5 ("two five").

My guess: "77" is like "69", but you get "8 more".

the new CV 24/7 camera has a fixed-focus lens that produces fuzzy, glassy-eyed images and has been optimized with a revolutionary new coating technology that incorporates alkaloid chemistry (aka, caffeine). it is perfect for all lighting conditions and can be set for self-timer exposure durations of up to eight hours in case the user nods off.

How about a 300/64 for landscapes in the US and Canadian west ...
