Pretty new, this new universal rotary processor for all type of tanks and drums. Temperature control between 20C-45C. The speed can be adjusted too. Made of inert material and 36 months warranty.

"all types of tanks" ... It will be fun to see it work with my Kodak hard rubber 4x5 tanks!

Ow, pretty interesting, Robert!

Are you going to sell those? Worldwide shipping, or EU wide? What about prices, any suggested retail price yet?

In principle world wide because there is also a 115V-60Hz version available apart from the normal 230V-50Hz EU version.

A manual version is also available: The rollers you can put in a tray too because it is inert material. 36 months warranty. Manual version Eur. 99,50.
Above SST-4 processor: Eur. 1449,00 about US$ 1500. But these prices are Dutch VAT 21% included. So an export price around US$ 1240 then. (1/3rd of a Jobo CPP-3).
Available in December 2015. "made in Germany".

Design-wise looking really good - I'm used to a lift-system but I like the simplicity of this unit. I'm sure it works perfect once you get the emtying/filling timing praciced. Pricing is slightly high, but managable considering it not a mass produced product and as said MUCH cheaper than the new Jobo.

I actually might buy one if my old Jobo CPA-2 decides to call it a quitz.

Yes, and you'll be managing the temps of your E-6 chemicals in your mouth. All six of them.

:)

For a regular C-41 or Tetenal (3-bath E-6) you can put the bottles in the water bath if you are using a medium size drum.

There is also an extended version available. So I do not see any problem.

Slick system.

I would work it with stainless tanks. Fill 4 oz per film, cap, place on machine. For larger tanks, drop in with lift rod, cap and rotate.

A tempering bath is probably required.

Hm. a rich too rich for my blood. Think I'll stick to the handroller system.

OTOH, that thing looks so simple, I'm thinking I could craft one myself from some old printer wheels and steel rods...

Possibly the brochure needs to be corrected? A unit 20 centimetres long, 25 centimetres wide, and 60 centimetres high does not seem right. Perhaps the dimensions have been mixed up?

Expensive, but gratifying to see someone willing to make new film development gear. I won't be buying one, but wish you all the best.
Cheers,
Brett

I don't need one, I have a new CPP3 arriving this week. I could have just stuck with my CPP2 and bought a couple spares for the money the CPP3 cost, but I felt I needed to support these companies who are taking a risk in making this equipment in a market that was at least 50x larger 20 years ago.

At some point, the expectation of cheap film cameras, cheap film and free darkroom equipment has got to come to pass. If these companies could offer this gear at a lower price point I'm sure they would. But the fact they can not shows just how niche this game really is at this point.

Even if it is a meal you can not afford, you don't go biting the hand that feeds you.

No, all dimensions are correct. Only l x w x h is mixed up. 60 x 25 x 20cm. Anyhow thanks for the corrected input.

About 150x larger then now, 20 years ago. When the sales of this universal roller and SST-4 is larger then expected, the price can go down for at least 20%.

Any new equipment you can not compare with something second hand in the market on E-bay, Marktplaats whatever. 5-10 years ago a lab was happy if somebody would take their CPA/CPP or ATL for free including a huge enlarger. Looking at myself my CPA including all kind of Jobo drums was for a bottle of wine. My Nova from a Policelab, hardly used in almost new condition: Eur. 25 for 4 pods. A Durst L1200 Laborator Multigraph in the Photolab in Oss, closed incl. all Femoboxes and 4 Rodenstock enlarging lenses , top of the notch for Eur. 350,- (new price on the bill NLG 13.000) Capilux Amsterdam in 1998 which is Eur. 6.500,00. Old Meopta enlargers in Holland: Old iron price, all for free sometimes including their top model Magnifax 4A.

So you say it. Forget about any view on the second hand market. For a serious spare part in a Jobo machine you can buy a whole or two new Jobo ATL machines broken. But a broken machine has a rest value of almost zero and a complete refurbished and serviced machine is for an active lab a Gold mine.
