Canon LTM a Pretty L1 is out there....

Canon M39 M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
355.. I think the collectors were detered by that nick on the edge... Nice price for a "user" if the 1.8/50 is without haze...

I love dents, not kidding, clearly pointing them in the auction and photos makes collectors fly away and go look for another mintyish one, if you're looking for a user, I'd say that dents, brightmarks and scratches are your friends, not to mention if the previous owner engraved h·(er|is) name on it ! :)

The L1 is basically the lever wind version of the Vt. Odd that they did not make more, about the same number as Nikon S4. BUT, there were many more models of Canon's than Nikon Rangefinders, with lots of small variations. Add them ALL up, and there are way more Canons than Nikon RF's (Like 6:1?). The L1 is a great shooter, a VI-L or P is better. That Vt is just "funky", that trigger wind is going to take some getting used to.

Yes, the L/ VL are special... end of Leica-copying and beginning of "Canon design" continued well into the 80's.. no big "real" difference to my P, not so comfortable as a "user" but a temptation for collecting reasons... Frank
