In the great anticipation for my M6 I'd like to set up my mind for a good, quality, yet reasonably priced full case to fit it with the lens.
I don't think Luigi will fit the bill this time, just a good quality case to protect M6 + lens.
Best to allow usage of side lugs (will use either neck or wrist strap or both) and tripod mount...
So, what would be your advises ?

Thanks, Alex

Leica's own full cases are frequently available and work well. I have one for my M4, I presume the M6 one is similar/interchangeable. It fits the camera with a biggish 50mm lens like the Summicron; the strap attaches to the case, rather than the lugs. Mine cost around $40 or $50 from p/net.

Thanks guys.
My doctors skill are way bellow the average thus woudl ilke to avodi any surgery if possible...🙂
Perhaps Leica own case will fit the bill, will be looking for one.

Other opinions are also welcome..

If you are looking for a fitted case, the original M3 fitted cases (sturdy brown leather, built in straps, room for a meter at top, tripod socket built in) might work. Looks like this:

As it happens, I have one that was given to me, but I was not a big fan of the built-in straps and tripod socket, and ultimately I found it a little awkward. You can have it for the price of postage (though it's not as nice as the one pictured), just PM me. Only caveat is that I cannot mail it until after the holiday rush (post offices are overrun in Austin).

The other option, and this is my go-to bag for one camera and one lens, is a simple Tamrac bag. They are very inexpensive. I use the 5200, which fits a basic outfit easily, and it has a pocket for 4-6 rolls of film. It looks like this:

Thanks a lot Juan. Checked the pictures of the case at teh link your provided - seems not that bad at all, albeit tripod mount is an excessive detail that I wouldn't miss if that wasn't here. I think when tripod-mounted shooting is necessary, the case is better to be removed completely in order to avoid one to interfare (full case) with tripod or camera controls...
I'll be happy to pick yours, cosmetical condition doesn't matter to me at all, if it doesn't fall apart and is still strong enough to hold M6 with 50mm - I'll be happy to get it. Let me know how much is shipment to Israel, we can arrange it after the holiday.

Send me your address in Israel, and I'll be better able to give you accurate shipping charges. I should be able to send it first week of January.
