Is this a tad over the top, or is it just me?

I think the thing that bugs me the most is the sale is "AS-IS". I'd want to be able to return a $12,000 item if there was something wrong with it. That and the seller has 27 feedback.
Have a nice night,

Wow... I'd suspect account hijacking here - ID's not been used for over a year then suddenly a 12,000 buck sale... stinks of fish...
At least they take Paypal.
12K is way over the top for an S4. Even with the box. A scammer should know better and set sights lower!
The S4 is the stripped version of the S3, ie no self timer, no motor lug, and manual film reset. Silk curtains, never went to titanium. You can have those installed from a Nikon F. They usually command 2,000~3,000 depending on condition. This one might bring $4K on a lucky day. I got mine in a trade for an N8008 10 years ago.

It's one of those cameras that rounds out a collection. But I'd doubt many people go to sleep at night thinking over and over again, "If only I had an S4 ... If only I had an S4 ..." The main difference is that, while it has the huge S3 finder, it doesn't have an etched frameline for the 35mm lens, just for the 50 and 105. Go figure.
