Went for the Anchovy paste to make a Salad Dressing and found this little lady, Barely 4mm in size....Keeps the fruitflies at bay I'm sure.

I'm guessing it is an orb Weaver.

I dont mind bugs in my house, I live in the countryside.

I actually buy praying mantises every year for our vegetable garden.

I let most of the spiders have free reign over the place, as it keeps the other populations down. But that one that plopped its butt down on my pillow about three inches from my eye one night...well, it's history. I got a couple of good shots of one out on the balcony one day, but as the sun rose, the wind picked up, and it was hard to keep the focus spot in the right place. Yours was in a much better setting for that.

Will you walk into my parlour?" said the Spider to the Fly,
'Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,
And I've a many curious things to shew when you are there."
Oh no, no," said the little Fly, "to ask me is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair can ne'er come down again."
