A testament to the popularity of one camera

Bill, some places here in Australia have a sililar problem, but with an animal quite a bit bigger than a tiny squirrel. We have possums that can grow bigger than an average cat!

No, just a personal opinion. We had one of the destructive little gits in our roofspace for months, before it finally decided to climb into a trap. It munched it's way through all the insulation to make a nest.

Bill

Years ago, when the British government was trying to get rid of a non-native species of squirrels, they started referring to them at tree rats.

They are a pain in the neck, very destructive, and love to crawl into cosy places. If one gets into your attic and then goes exploring between your walls and gets stuck and kicks the bucket, you have a big problem...

Here in the West Country Grey Squirrels are Tree Rats and Seagulls are Flying Rats 😀

No way would I let one of those get near my GIII, they eat anything 🙁

LOL!! My 9-year-old has a QL17 GIII, she will LOVE the pic.

We had one take up residnce in the attic of an old house we rented, right over our bedroom. It would drop acorns down into the attic from above, where they would roll on a piece of plywood flooring until they hit a heating duct.

Every night, trying to get to sleep, it was "clunk, roll Roll ROll ROLl ROLL CLUNK!!!"

I think this one with the QL17 has just come back from the taxidermist, so I'll bet he isn't eating anything.

Wayne,
You might be correct. The fur on his mid-back (right where a hand would pick "it" up) looks worn down and the tail doesn't look natural either.
Still pretty darn cute. 🙂

Okay Bob, I guess we should go ahead and tell them...... that's a self-portrait of my brother taken in a mirror.

The weird fur thing is a birthmark and the tail is actually prosthetic. Lost his real one in a freak hunting accident.

Thanks, You da Man!

I thought you all would enjoy it. Now I know who to attribute it to.

We have problems with squirrels in the easern US, I actually had one family of them destroy roofing and the substrate, an attic vent and wiring. Then one or two of them died inside the wall. I hired a specialist to come and trap them, set them free (far away-- like West Virginia) and add the proper steel mesh to keep the buggers out.

In a previous year, two of the babies made it all the way to the basement. Which had my cats chasing them around. I had to save them and set them free in the woods behind the house. I'm sure they were the "RATS" that returned to spell havoc with my attic.
