the older i get and the longer i live alone (sorry sugar) the more i become the (stereo) typical bachelor.
so on this fine saturday afternoon i found myself in need of a grocery shopping trip cause there weren't much that resembled food in my kitchen.
as per traditon after shopping there is the back and forth of plastic shopping bags from car to house. on one trip back to the front steps i notice a very familiar slip of heavy paper blowing about in the yard.
purolater had been here...and upon scanning said notice it seems purolater had been here yesterday!!
the zeiss has been sitting at their very nearby depot over night, actually since noon yesterday.
sonofabeach!!
ok so the zi is back and this one seems perfect.

My M5s need red dots!
Forgot Oscar, shooting EM-phatically with his Leica too!
How about those who photograph KONICAlly with their Hexanons?
Good! The world keeps changing!
Now... joe, did you contact the shipping service?

I would agree the Ikon is the typical bachelor camera. It's silvery bald sexy body and easy to look through with AE is the cat's _ss. What more could one ask for (besides a beautiful set of cheeks to go with it)? The streets are full of 'em for bokehful picture slapping---'er, I mean, making.

Wow! Seems like the replacement got there twice as fast as the first one!
Enjoy it in good health, Joe. Hope to see you down here in NYC when warm weather comes - with all cameras in tow!

There seems to be a point of inflection ¿? going on these days.
I like points of inflection, functions do very fun things around them.
And for some reason they look like something super natural to me.
And everything is on its place now.
This is an extra freak post, I know...

With a collection like that, how do you ever decide which one to take out for the day? What if you went on a trip somewhere, what would you do?

Very nice Joe! Congratulations!
I know I posted about the lure of the M3 getting to me but after thinking it over,
I already have the MP. So I'll be calling Tony Rose on Monday for a ZI!

it will be something to face and as of right now...i have no idea.
for the immediate future the decision is easy, zeiss ikon because it's new and i want to see what it can do and what pics look like from that zm lens.
as back up to the zi & the zm 35/2, the m3 has the same mount and when all my adapters arrive i will use the 28/3.5, the 50/1.2, and the 135/3.5 canon lenses
the 2 canon p's will have five 35mm lenses, the 50/1.5 and 100/3.5 lenses.
simple really...

I guess I haven't been keeping up with Joe's odyssey. What did I miss? He got a Zeiss Ikon BRAND NEW CAMERA that didn't work and he had to send it back? What? And the replacement arrived by Purolator, and he missed it because he was shopping for Fritos and a 30 pak of Bud Lite? And just when I thought Purolator still made oil filters....
Totally OT, I just bought a mint (honest, and it'll never be for sale) Rolleiflex w/Xenotar 2.8.
The lady was liquidating her late husband's camera collection (sorry, no RF's in the lot) and asked me to put them all up on ebay for her. When I saw the Rollei I said, look, I'll give you a hundred for this right now. Oh, you sly fox, you. Make it one hundred twenty five, she said. Never do business with a woman, I said, and wrote her a check.
Tell me, Joe, what's goin' on?

Btw, which lighting are you using for these shots ? Both your previous one (3p) and this look really nice with that golden touch.
