Doesn't THIS deserve to be today's offering as the high-point of RF construction? Notice the f3.5 "Summicron" that has been miraculously integrated into the virginal white camera body. Note also that while the camera is admitted to be a "copy" the same is not true of the lens. This is all high-tech for me.

I wonder if somebody in the Ukraine is making all these odd camera "copies" for practice.

If so -- think what he'll be able to pull off once he's gotten really good!

That ain't nothin' but an ole Zorki C --"a Zorki 1 beaten with an ugly stick" -- dressed up in a zoot suit. One thing about it. It's hard to make a Zorki C look any worse:)

I dunno- One these with a pair of Madras Bermuda shorts, some white patent leather leisure loafers, black socks, yellow "polo" and a white belt and you're all set for a night on the town. Don't forget your pork pie hat.

okay, I give in. What camera; and is there a link? Jan

Jan, the link is the word "THIS" in the first post.

I'm impressed........ the shutter has ballbearings as indicated by the letter "K" following the serial number.

Wow! Close to pornography. I don't know what would be more dangerous. An affair with a woman and my wife found out, or buy that camera and my friends found out. Yikes.

It's spelled 'DED' dead as in die.

I'm looking for film with past expiry dates , that is my idea of living on the edge. joke

The white paint on the Zorki classical metal shape around the lens seems to have been performed by a 8 year old child. I'm most impressed by this unusual 3.5/50 Summicron... did the russians transfer lenses production lines from germany to russia ? I am sure i've seen this kind of summicron on my Zorki-4 and Zorki-6, but the finish was more raw... metallic.. not as beautifully painted as here :( and it was called Industar-50 me thinks ... *giggles* :D

It's just so ugly and unfair to desacrate russian cameras..

As many funny cameras of this type are constinuously coming out of the FSU countries, I am wondering if "collectors" who purchase them are giving them the incentive to build more, and of course more outrageous ones.

There again, I do not think that it would be more labour-intensive for these "modifiers" to pull a camera apart, check every bit, and reassembling them with greater care that the original factory could not afford to lavish on them, to the highest precision, and then add a simple refinish like a nicely baked black paint. Now that's something we really want!

The scariest statement on the page:

"ALL PICS ARE ACTUAL. YOU'LL RECEIVE WHAT YOU SEE."

Quick somebody call Greenpeace, I think that's wood veneer in place of the Vulcanite. How many trees were sacrificed for this camera ??? At least those poor poor "vulcans" can keep thier hide one more day ;)

Todd I thought it looked more like 'mactac' but if it is a tree, well...... you must act now.

I agree with you guys!!!!
I´ll be really happy if those guys faking poor made Feds or Zorkis, do something better, it is to refurbish them and get properly working old CCCP cameras!!!!
I love FSU cameras as they are cheap and If yoú´re lucky yóu´ll get one that works fine from the very beginning, but this... OMG!!!!! this sucks!!!!!

Regards

This one makes my teeth hurt. I was fortunate to receive a "customized" black Mir from Rusfoto and it looks great and works like it should. I'll try to post a picture of it with my Bessa R.

Here is a photo of the Mir I just spoke of along side a Bessa R. Whoever Denis gets these from, he does a decent job.
