Far too rich for me, bailed out of this one a while back. Shame, I think it is the only version of the top engraving that I do not have and I'd rather hoped that its condition would keep the price down...fat chance!

It would be interesting to know. These 'galvanised' Feds are interesting and there are a lot of variations in detail in the first few thousand to keep one busy. There was one a couple of years back which went for a huge amount and didn't seem original.
Way rarer than the equivalent Leicas and with a completely different story behind them. Nowadays my oldest Fed is in the 8000 range. A very nicely made camera indeed.
Everything seems to get a bit coarser somewhere around 250000 with the introduction of the big shutter release with cup...or am I being picky?
