I am not interested in the camera, but this came up on the rumor site and thought it was interesting. Could just as well be a hacker prank for all I know.

The best camera is one that still works!
I guess it's certainly possible ... Canon need to do something aside from pumping out the boring offerings of the last few years.

I followed a few links and there is speculation the links refer to old film camera models.
I think it's too early for Canon to respond with a FF compact while they have yet to fully develop the EOS-M platform and so soon after they've released the EOS 100D (which does seem to have a lot going for it for users already invested in Canon lenses - particularly the new compact STM lenses - and flash).
