Many moons ago, there was a yellow M4 that lingered around on photo.net Since a lot of the crowd has since moved here, i'm curious as to know if the current owner is amongst us... any news on it? I always thought it looked swell!

So my fiancee took one look at that photo and immediately demanded it for an engagement present.. I don't know if I should be happy she is interested in a Leica or scared that she wants the neon yellow one...

The nice thing is I don't think anyone would mistake it for something expensive.

I've seen lots of really wrong things on the net over the last few years but this just about takes first place. Is that a latex or oil-based baby-poop-yellow paint?

welcome joe, maybe u've forgotten me but i do post around. We had a minor bitty on the olympus forum not too long ago? Remember now? The kid who uses a 5050 at times (blasphemy!!!)back alley said:a member since june of '04 and it takes a yellow leica to get you to post!!

I think like most of us here, i dwadle in many different systems both digital and film. My mainstay at the moment seems to on the hexar RF for film and the 5050 for digital..... *ends self intro mode*
Anyways, thanks for the welcome...

btw, tell me guys, does that not tickle your fancy? I'd love to be able to buy it one day for my gf and i. She currently shoots with my M2 and we're thinking of converting it. It does match a lot of the stuff we share, being yellow and all!szekiat said:welcome joe, maybe u've forgotten me but i do post around. We had a minor bitty on the olympus forum not too long ago? Oh I'd be scared on both accounts. Think buying camera gear is expensive? It's worse when there's two of you. I know. Boy do I know.RdEoSg said:So my fiancee took one look at that photo and immediately demanded it for an engagement present.. While it's not something I would think of myself, I would use it with pride if given it. If it were a reasonable price (the same as chrome or perhaps black painted) M4s, I buy it. With black lenses on it, hand made black leather strap, SHARP! I do not think I could shoot anything but Kodachrome with this camera!
Then I was the one that wanted a Yellow Land Rover Discovery when the came out over here in the US. Never got one, but that was a damn good looking car for an SUV.

Perhaps this was the result of listening to Beetles in the owners left ear (yellow submarine) and Paul Simon (Kodachrome) in the right while inhaling?
Just a thought and a song I can not get out of my head, time to go take the medicine, night all!

Nice camera. I don't know why people get so hot under the collar about coloured Leicas.
I think a white one would be cool, but I've never seen one.

Reminded me of the gold plated ones. I like the look of the gold ones as shelf-baubles.
Something about the tone of the yellow rubs me the wrong way.

Could very well be. I offered it for sale, here and on P.nut. I had quite a few responses, even a few people willing to buy it. But nothing came of it in the end. I've decided to keep it. My daughter likes it.
BTW, on eBay I saw once a FED/ Zorki/ Kiev (?) dressed in the same vinyl cover.
