Canon LTM A35F trouble

Canon M39 M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
Does anyone have any recommendations or advice? I can't seem to get the contacts for the meter clean enough, I've tried just about everything.

I have successfully used an old No.2 pencil eraser in the past, but yours sound as though they may be too corroded... are they "pitted?"

P.S. I had a lovely gnocchi dinner in Altoona one night -a long time ago!

Not sure if they're "pitted" but it remains dull and there is still some green residue that won't go away

The metering is going to be off if you don't test it with the proper voltage battery. The A35F needs 1.35v. 1.4v hearing aid batteries usually test between 1.36v to 1.34v right out of the package for me.

Have you cracked the camera open yet, or are you just working in the battery compartments? Taking the bottom plate off isn't too scary. I think the springs for the battery doors are the only little bits you need to keep track of. Might make it easier to get in there and clean the contacts or find other corrosion.
