Excuse if this has been posted earlier.

The Biogon 25 f/2.8 which has had past corner issues with SOME APSC & FF sensors has none with the new A7:

This photographer is exceptional and has 60 images in this set to document the above report. He also posts OMD compatibility with the Biogon 25mm F/2.8 ZM.

The home site reports many other lens/camera pairing compatibilities.

Again, please excuse if this report is redundant.

The A7 has much less problems with wide angle lenses than the A7r. I have no issues with my 21mm Zeiss Biogon so it doesn't surprise me that the 25mm also has no concerns. Both of those Zeiss ultra wides are great imho and look just as good on the digital bodies as they do on film.

Cheers,
Dave

I think these considerations are very strange. I'm one board using Zeiss Biogon 21 2.8 with a Sony A7 and the results are not satisfactory. Strong vignetting and color shift can be corrected but it remains a striking fall of definition towards the edges. Even stopping down to f8/f11 yield never reaches the quality that this lens is on my Leica M9.

Not sure if I'm reading this correctly - perhaps the camera and lens combination doesn't satisfy you - you have an M9 after all - play with that and be happy :)
