Nice shots. But I'm glad I wasn't there to see the complaintocracy (government by whoever complains the loudest). My family has 200 years in NC, it's certainly changing.
Well, I've only spent a bit more than two years total in NC, but I agree with you. Most of these people don't know the consequences of the requests they are making. It's easy to call for an expansion of medicaid or financing public education and difficult to figure out how to, given the constraints of the budget and all.
And (speaking as an economist) the US needs to both reduce welfare and raise taxes if the current debt issue is to be resolved. Frankly, I can't see either happening...And I beg to be forgiven for bringing this up. Imagine if I talked about rangefinders during a conference 😀
