I am Long time Nikon user that recently picked up an A7 to mess around with the numerous classic lenses I have from the film days.

I am having a great time with my new "rangefinder" A7 and manual focus lenses. No problems with MF, have C2 set as magnifier, works well.

I did get a couple of AF lneses, but struggle to find the best AF settings to use with the camera. I have face detection turned on, and find that to work OK with one person in the pic. But, I have no idea what the camera will pick to focus the 28/2 lens on otherwise?

I have the AF/MF button figured out, but do I really have to go to a menu to move the central spot arond?

Can anyone post links to good AF tutorial sites for the A7? Thanks.

I have the 28mm f2 as my only native lens on my a7 and usually i rely on picking a centre point and recomposing however, if you press the AF point selection which is the bottom button on the command dial. Once its pressed i am able to the use the 2 dials on the grip and back that usually control exposure to move it. Its a pretty uninspiring method but I just got used to it.
