Has anyone else been using iPhoto to upload pictures to Flickr?
I got fed up with it. The defaults (low resolution, pictures visible to only you) are stupid, and it takes far longer to upload pictures than the stand alone Flickr uploader ever did.
The last straw was when I added pictures to a previously uploaded set. Although I'd originally configured the set to upload the pictures at full resolution, it uploaded the added pictures at low resolution only without telling me.

And then when I removed the duplicates from the 'flickr' tab on iPhoto, it didn't actually tell me this would delete the pictures from Flickr itself!

SO that's hundreds of pictures gone from online. Including the most popular and most viewed shots I've ever posted. Lots of shots I've posted here, and also posted on my blog. Gone.

In future, I'm sticking to the stand alone Flickr Uploader. It works better, and doesn't screw up my flickr account!

AJS. I feel for you. I did try the iphoto method of uploading to Flickr, but soon switched back to using the Flickr uploader. I am really sorry that you pictures were deleted.

I think iPhoto is fantastic - I have a preset that allows me to automatically process a shots, or shots, in LR and load to iPhoto. iPhoto then allows me to quickly upload to Flickr - and it gives you the option to set the size and viewing permissions.

It just doesn't bother me to change the dropdown as I upload a batch of shots.
