?? about Pentagon lens in M42

I am bidding on a 30mm f/3.5 Pentagon PreSet lens to mount on my Mir with a M42 > M39 adapter....

I have heard that that these German lens are pretty good...Am I right...And anyone else use this make on there M42 camera or a M39 with adapter??? Good results....

My bid is low..just want an idea in case I am outbid. and whether I Should look else where.....I am looking at an Exakta Exaktar 35mm f/2.8 in M42 also...NIB Old New Stock....Any advice???

What is a good price for a 30mm f/3.5 Pentagon in M42... I have a GBP $10.00 as my max bid now...about $20.00 USD and inflating as we talk ;-)

This model is very sharp and could be worth upto $100us.
Very good for close work too, though this would be difficult if you fit it to a 39mm body, you will have no rangefinder coupling. but for general use you get used to guessing distances pretty quick esp' with a wide angle like this.
You could have a good deal here.

I plan to use the DOF scale for candid street shooting and maybe a landscape type or two...Thanks for the info.

PS: I have a Pentax ZX-M Body too...so a M42/PK adapter would be in order for other types of photo's where I need an SLR viewing with it.

Well I won the lens....$39.00 total S/H included....
The adapter will cost the same....Only 2 on Ebay...Same store..
Anyone have a M42 > M39 they are not using any more??? PM Me with asking price.......If not...next week, I will buy on the Bay....Trying to save a few bucks if I can.
