Great job with the Members Gallery! Better yet, since there are no ratings. However, I do have one question: how can we encourage comments on photos?

my guess is that once we are a bit more comfortable with each other we will comment more.
for me, i don't consider myself much of a critic and mostly enjoy seeing others work as something to compare my stuff to.

Following Joe's advice, I've made it known I'd appreciate comments on my photo postings.

Needless to say, I'm a commenter myself. While I'm not a great photographer, I think I can tell what's good and what's not in a photo. As a book critic said once: "I've never laid an egg, but I can tell when one is rotten."

If everything is pointed out with clarity and courtesy, we can learn a lot from each other.

Comments and criticisms are the only way to improve one's photography. The constructive ones of course.
