Hi all.

I've hunted everywhere, but can't find a suggested dev dilution and time for Rodinal with Acros 100 shot at 100. Can anyone help, I have 10 rolls to soup.

I'll be posting more news about Cuba with piccies soon for those interested, but I have the Cuban flu (made up name!) which makes everything hurt. It's worse than man-flu, I'm actually ill! 😉

Its true speed is only 50 in Rodinal. I have shot a lot of it in the past, but haven't done so in several years. I like the tonality of several other films A LOT better but Acros has the finest grain i have EVER seen, even in Rodinal.

I have found that Acros shot at e.i. 80 and souped in Rodinal 1:50 for 11 minutes is great for controlled lighting conditions. That has great shadow detail and no blown highlights.

Now you shot it at e.i. 100 but that's only 1/3 stop. We have much more variance than that in the way we meter so I wouldn't sweat it.

Well, they came out ok but a little thin. I'm try adding a few more minutes to it next time and report back.

I just discovered that 400mm in one measuring jug = 640ml in the other!

Yeah, I was thinking what you are now. I re-checked, checked again, had a friend check, and it seems one of my jugs that I normally mix dev in is very off. Anyone else had this? Off to the shops in the morning to get some new ones then I'll try again.

Thanks for the tip Doug, I'll give that a go.

Hi Larky,

I'm with Bob Michaels - Have been really happy wiht reslts of ACROS at E.I.80 in Rodinal 1+50. The tonal range is better than I could expect. The other day tryied 1+100 recipe but I didn't like it more than 1+50...

By the way I started by doing 11 min. then changed to pre-wet for a minute and dev. for 10 1/2
