Actor David Suchet, an M3 and James Jarche

An interesting program on UK TV last night - David Suchet updating some of his grandfather's Life photos with modern takes - all shot on his grandfather's M3. Can be seen on http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/video/?Filter=313547

Jarche's pictures are outstanding, IMHO - as are so many of the Life snappers. Interesting to see Suchet's reworking of Jarche's images.

Although Jarche did work for Life magazine (he features in the book Great Life Photographers), he was mainly working for Illustrated London News and the Daily Mail.

Yep really enjoyed it. SOme great pictures. Suchet seems like a cool bloke too. There aren't many areas in London I would stroll through with an M3 round my neck though!

Not a problem with a film crew and security staff though. Having said that, there are sadly some dodgy places in London (and around the UK) 🙁

I did some research on James Jarche, but the ITV video isn't playable outside of the UK. I would have liked to see David Suchet use his grandfathers camera.
