Adapter to center Olympus tripod mount?

I would like to use my EP1 for panoramic photos from time to time, but as I understand it I cannot because the tripod mount is off center and this would introduce paralax when rotating my panoramic head. Is there some sort of trinket to center the mount?

I don't know anything specific, but if you use a relatively long plate you may be able to mount it offset in the clamp. For example I am thinking of:

hm....so something like mounting the plate on the camera then locking it down off side enough to center the mount and stick that pn my pano head. Maybe, its a good idea worth looking into.
