Has anyone ever tried adding a mask the Konica IIIa's rangefinder to give the RF patch hard defined edges like on a Leica M?

Not sure what would be involved for this or even if it is possible but it would make that IIIa's finder even better with this.

Thanks,

Shawn

It's more than just a mask which gives the Leica RF it's hard edges. It is the condenser arrangement and where the mask aperture is in relation to condenser and beamsplitter which enable it. The Nikon RF is pretty similar but has diffuse edges due to slightly different design. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it may not be worth it for a fixed lens RF.
