Ok, your lens is now listed as "Minolta MC 21mm f/4 Rokkor-QH"
and I added a pair of f/2.8 21mm lenses too...
Thanks!

Hi -- Would that be the Industar-10? I understand this lens was the older standard FED lens and marked as FED 50mm.Could you please add the FED 3.5/50 collapsible, in LTM mount.

The "improved" versions are already in the list:
Industar-22 f3.5 50mm
Industar-50 f3.5 50mm
Yes, I've seen those... distressing! But I suspect the erroneous designations are used with uploaded gallery photos already, so correcting them on the list would mess up a search... they would not come up in a search of the corrected designation. At some point I hope we have a means to make global changes in the gallery to straighten this out!Thank you too![]()
Q: I suppose there are some inconsistencies in the corresponding CAMERA list; I've seen some doublettes (like «"Canon" XYZ» vs. «CANON xyz»), and I've seen some annoying typos like «Voightländer, Voigthlander», Voigtlaender», etc.
I know it's certainly a boring chore, but I guess a more consistent list would be much more useful.![]()
BTW, "Voigtlander", "Voigtländer", and "Voigtlaender" are all correct to some, depending on the language and how it’s transliterated, and each is more or less incorrect to other folks! Inserting an "h" after the "g" is always incorrect... Agree that settling on one for the list would be useful however...

Doug,
I really don't know. my lens is in good condition. I think it may have been a refurbished model. I'll use one of the Induistar designations.
Thanks

Hi Doug,
Could you please add these SLR Nikkors:
AF Nikkor 50mm f1:1.8 D
AF Micro Nikkor 60mm f1:2.8
Nikkor-P Auto 1:2.5 f=105mm
Nikkor-S Auto 1:2 f=5cm Nippon Kogaku silver nose 9-bladed aperture (this is an early Nikkor sold with the 1959 Nikon F)
Also I suspect it would be desirable to identify the various versions of the Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 lenses, e.g.:
Nikkor-S Auto 1:1.4 50mm silver nose non-AI
Nikkor 50mm f1:1.4 non-AI
I realise this may be a bit of a minefield task given the large number of variants of Nikkor lenses!
thanks
Lynn

Hi Lynn -- This does raise again the question of how general and how detailed the lens listing should be. Generalizing makes searches (and posting) easier but less informative, detailed just the opposite. So far it's been on the general side. Of course one can add more specific lens identification in the Photo Notes area when uploading if desired.
With different numbers of diaphragm blades, variations in optical formulations, etc, more detailed lens info will be of use and interest to some. You're right, it's a minefield! Where do we want to go with this?
I've added the 60 Micro and 1.8/50 D
We do already have general listings for F lenses:
Nikon 105mm f2.5
Nikon 50mm f2.0
Nikon 50mm f1.4
