Took a diversionary side trip when returning from Indiana last week seeking an antique store with 'lots of cameras', or so I was told. Just a few run of the mill Brownies was all I found, but there was this really wonderful centerpiece to South Charleston, WV that I didn't know about.
In a small park, they have an Indian Burial Mound, built by the Adena. They were Native american folk who got their moniker from some white settler into Greek mythology. No one knows what the Adena called themselves, as they were gone by the time the settlers moved in, but they were traders with the Great Lakes and Gulf Coast tribes. They left behind all sorts of earthen works consisting of what appears to be fortifications, and the burial mounds.
I got a few shots of the mound on the last of a roll I had in a Samsung Maxima Zoom 145 on Kodak Ultramax 400, before I switched to digital (Panasonic DMC-TZ3).
This is the only film shot I posted on Flickr
