Hey guys

I recently enough, maybe 2 or 3 months ago, got a worn but working M2 and I'm absolutely loving it. Rather than sending it off for a professional CLA, I figured I'd give at least adjusting the rangefinder myself and look into the steps beyond that after.

I've got the horizontal adjustment done fine, not a problem. Now onto the vertical. I took the screw from the front of the camera, and shone a light in and I can't see any screw that needs adjusting, only a little hole that looks like a screw should be in there. Now this may seem stupid, but is the adjustment screw missing in my case, or is the adjustment screw some little 1mm wide thing that I'll have to get a tiny screwdriver at?

I've had a look for repair manuals online but I can't find one, I'll have to look around some more after. Even just seeing an m2 with the top off would help, unfortunately I'm missing at least one tool needed for removing my own.

Thanks

the screw is only accessible from inside as the diameter is bigger than the hole. maybe its in there and just came out. I've never actually unscrewed one all the way out. I think it's probably best to take the top off and take a look before poking anything in there. seems unusual that it's missing though. I dont wish to sound ridiculous but are you sure you have undone the correct cover screw? the one next to the frosted window

Yupp, that's the one, I was planning to take the top plate off to replace the screw rather than just poke something in there, so if it's still around I'll see it, thing is, I don't hear any rattle inside the camera. Either it's not there or it's very snug somewhere.

Unfortunately I don't think I have the tools to get the top off currently, so fixing it may have to wait 'till monday...
