administrator 60 second delay messages

I don't care so much as I just wonder why, and if my physical posts have been deleted as well. I guess I just find it irritating that so much work may have simply evaporated into cyberspace.

what was said in the posts that were deleted? anything related to a certain someone? i haven't checked to see if mine have been deleted...just that the count is down.

I doubt it. I have surely not posted 600+ posts about anyone - heck, I have never made any abrasive posts at all until the one last night about my horrible 100mm lens fiasco.

But, I don't care about the post count as much as about the loss of what I consider property - my written work. I put alot of thought into some posts, and alot of time, especially my threads.

i hear ya. not that i spend any time whatsoever on my posts, but i dig 😀 oh...and in case the login i used didn't tell ya...i'm locked back out again. tried logging out, and then in...no dice.

it seemed to me like some people could post all along, so i doubt it is universal to the site. sounds like the permissions or database entries or whatever on some accounts got messed up (or rather, tampered with).

Bring it on

Bring it on

OK, what's the consensus--is this technical, or is there "someone" involved? If it's the latter, I have a deal for you. Here is my personal e-mail:

domokun17@earthlink.net

If you think you can handle it, bring it to me, at that address. Do your worst. Let
me see just how smart you think you are. After which, I shall dismember you.
Figuratively, of course.

is this "throwing down the gauntlet"? 😎

That's one way of putting it. If this site is under attack, I just want to see what he
can do. Not technically--verbally. I don't actually expect a response. But if one
should appear...fun time for me.

OK. This is not a normal glitch. When I try and e-mail. I get a message to wait 46402 seconds before trying again.
Not 60 seconds, not 60 minutes.
Mr. (or Mrs.) Glitch has a very interesting sense of humour. Anybody into numerology?

I have no idea; I'm just echoing G-man's observation. It doesn't seem to be a normal glitch.

Either the server has a serious bug (and I know, a lot of PHP-based solutions have some annoying bugs; I spent a whole day debugging Pixelpost in order to get some serious performance issues worked out) which is running amock (perhaps triggered by the new host's rebellious clock?) or somebody's exploiting vulnerabilities. Looks like there are a few people who are ready to rough'em up once he/she/it's found out.
