Hello!
Anyone ever encountered problems with film pressure on ultra-thin Adox and aperure stops of 1.4 till 2.8?

I haven't encountered problems, and I love that film! I'm talking about the ADOX CMS20

The 2 first shots are shot at f1.5 with my summarit lens.

I've already posted these shots in another Adox CMS20 thread.

I meant using it in my MP , I thought I had detected some blur in the right side center of neg. Something like an uneven "patch" in depth of field
Will make more tests!

There should not be a problem with even the ultra thin emulsions and the M's. The pressure plate will push it tight against the rails. Where you can experience problems is if you leave the camera "cocked" fo a couple of days and then fire that frame. The film can "buckle" slightly due to tension and also gravity can drop the film. A thin emulsion film does not need much of a movement to bend and even 0.01mm of shift will cause focus problems. The trick is to leave the shutter "uncocked" if you are not going to use the camera for a day or overnight. Just advance before you shoot and the film will be pulled flat as it moves in position.
It is not a huge problem with 35mm, it can be a problem with 120 and large format 4x5 and 8x10 is critical. The sheer weight of the sheet can cause it to 'drop" in the holder!
I have had it happen with Tech Pan in Leicas. Sitting overnight it can "buckle" inward in the filmgate. Often it is a corner, but mostly it is in the center of the film. I tend to shoot the first frame as a "waste" frame just to be sure.

Tom: - most of the shots were taken in a series, maybe only some minutes in between!
I will check again and make up some test shots

Hi!
This film is a killer showing what a lense can do, and obviously what it can`t , at least being seen through my Nikon 5000 ED.
I`m not sure about results yet, I compared my new Nokton 40 against my good old 35 Summicron of 1979 vintage. I`m quite shocked, the Voigtländer seems to be better in almost every respect, that said with caution, because I never reallly bothered with any "test shooting" and a "scientific" set up

Hello! Obviously false alarm with irregular sharpness zones!
I put up my MP on a tripod, used cable release both 35 Summicron and Nokton 40 without any filter and took some test shots in my garden,- extremely subdued, grey sky late afternoon. What you see are the very right parts of negatives
2.0-1 is cron, 2.0-2 is ton!
So Nokton is one stop down!
I had to use some contrast and brightness correction on the cron, although exposure had been the same.
