I'm traveling on a two week trip to Israel organized by my university. As this is the first time I'm traveling to Israel I'm looking for some advice.
Does anyone know where to buy film in Tel Aviv, Haifa or Jerusalem?
As this is towards the end of winter in Israel there might be rain, but mostly it is going to be sunny, at least from what I could gather regarding the weather. What ISO film should I bring? would ISO 100 and ISO 400 film be enough? my maximum shutter speed is 1/1000
Should I invest in a ND-filter, in the case the of the midday sun being very strong?
Gear being used is:
Leica M6TTL (maximum shutter speed 1/1000)
Summilux f1.4
Thanks in advance.

There are tons of camera stores in downtown Tel-Aviv, and in Jerusalem you can (at the very least) buy consumer film from stores, even in the old city. In downtown Jerusalem there are several pro camera/repair shops. Not sure about Haifa.
I didn't need a ND filter while I was there, but I don't tend to shoot wide open during the day. Bring one in case you want to.
If you want to shoot the arab market in the old city, bring something that is/can be pushed to 800/1600-- it's dark.

I'd advise to bring your film from home. Nevertheless, You can buy film and have it developed at Panda Labs http://www.pandalabs.co.il/#!english/c141g
Another shop is Fotofilm at Alenbi 84 in Tel Aviv.
Enjoy your trip! The country is great.

BTW, there's no need for an ND filter. Even when it's sunny at ISO 400 you can shoot 16/500

If you also bring a digital or video camera, make sure you have some juice in your batteries when you show up at airport security. I was prevented from boarding and held for 1.5h for not being able to review my images to them on an internal flight. Not fun.
If you bring fast film, it may get x-rayed a lot. Other than that i had a great trip.
