Hi all;

With regret, I am selling my entire 'M' kit. Long story, but the bottom line is that it's fine gear that deserves a home where it will get more use.

I've already asked on the Leica M forum about value for my 35/2.0 V3 'cron. Now for the CV gear. Of course I'll post it here first so RFF members get first shot. I don't really follow the market so would really appreciate input on prices to ask for the following:

CV R2 body (black). Clear VF, accurate meter, focusing and advance. LOTS of brassing on the corners/edges. Like the 'cron, this is probably a prototypical 'user' piece.

CV 75/2.5 Color-Heliar (black). Clean glass and diaphragm, typical minor CV barrel brassing. Caps and hood included. Oddity: this lens is ONLY 'M' mount. Previous owner used Loctite to secure the adapter so it's part of the 'package'.

CV 35/2.5 Color-Heliar PII (black). Clean glass and diaphragm, typical minor CV barrel brassing. Caps and hood included. 'M' mount only but that's the only way it is offered.

Yes, I should post pix to help with your suggestions, but haven't yet made 'em. Yeah, yeah, passive/aggressive. This weekend for sure . . . 😉

BTW, replies offering to "take that piece of $#!+ off your hands for $50" will be ignored. I may be ignorant, but I ain't stupid. 😀

TIA!/ScottGee1

Sorry to hear that, Scott. Here are my guesses:

CV R2 body (black). Clear VF, accurate meter, focusing and advance. LOTS of brassing on the corners/edges. Like the 'cron, this is probably a prototypical 'user' piece.

US 350-400.

Typically these run used for US 200-250. Some people will be turned off
by the adapter thing, others might like it since they don't have to buy an
adapter.

CV 35/2.5 Color-Heliar PII (black). Clean glass and diaphragm, typical minor CV barrel brassing. Caps and hood included. 'M' mount only but that's the only way it is offered.

Around US 250 or a little more because of the hood.

Good luck,

Roland.

Roland, thanks for your detailed reply!

As to the 'built-in' adapter, I gotta believe at least one person will think it's a big plus!

Not if the adapter won't allow the lens to focus properly on a particular camera, since not all adapters are built equally. Instead of just replacing an adapter, you'll need to replace a whole lens. Any idea who makes the adapter?

I dont know about that bessa r2, 350-400 might be a little much since a new one can be had for a little more then that. With all that brassing I would be asking less then that, maybe around 250-325. Many very clean bessa r2's go on ebay for the 350-425 mark, but those are pristine ones, plus cameraquest has new ones for 499 with warranty.

I know nothing of LEICA 😉
as for the R2 mine was $325 used, and clean, no brassing

the 75, again mine was in the $200 range, black and very clean + adapter

as for the 35mm II, don't have one😱 fat fingers probably won't like it 🙁 so.....
