Advice? Using a SF24 flash on an M7 + Canonet 17

Any advice here would be grand. I'm heading out in about 2 hours to an event that I want to shoot and I know it'll be dark so I'm taking the Leica SF-24 flash that I've had but never actually used.

I'm bringing my M7 but may also bring my Canonet 17. I know I can use the flash on both cameras and on the M7 use the TTL setting for auto-pilot. I'll be shooting b/w film. One roll is 3200, all the rest at 400 though I may push to 800 or 1600 given the conditions.

I'd love to not ruin all this film, but I've never done this before and don't have time to play around before hand, any suggestions?

If there is no distance/iso/aperture chart on the sf-24 you could quickly download one from the internet (if it's available).
Lacking automation you will need to use a gn system of some sort. I don't know the sf24 or it's power.
Most older flashes have a chart on the flash or in the manual.
I use a Yashica cf14 flash on my M5 sometimes. iso/400/f5.6/8-10' seems to work pretty nicely. Closer in stop down a bit further out open up.
This flash is not powerful but it is small. You will need to know the GN for the sf24 flash.

The SF-24 is (I think) built specifically for the auto features of the M7 so using the TTL setting I think it'll do a lot of things on it's own. I'm copying that dist/iso/apt combo you mention in case I switch the flash to the Canonet 17 which the flash isn't designed for specifically. Thanks!
