Hi,
I'm new to this forum, but have been following almost every thread about the GSN, eventually leading me to purchase one over eBay. Finally received it two days ago.
My question is, does the GSN lock the exposure at half press? I don't seem to read it anywhere in the manual.

No. The GSN uses an electronic shutter and does not have exposure lock as the "Trap-Needle" cameras do. Same is true of most of the early electronic shutter cameras, the Minolta Hi-Matic E, Kodak Instamatic Reflex, Polaroid Pack cameras. The Nikkormat EL featured electronic exposure lock, and required a more complex circuit to do so.

It's totally controlled by the CDS cell on the fly for shutter time. You can test it by taking a shot in the dark and then shining a flashlight in the light sensor.

Thanks, guys, as long as I now understand its limit, I shall use it for what it's good for. Just rolled in a Kodak EliteChrome 100, will see how it turns out later after finishing.
