Aesthetically pleasing RF

Ahhhh the Yashica Electro is SUCH a fine camera....great looking, I love that little molecule symbol in the corner. I was going to get one awhile ago, but decided against it.

Why on earth would you decide that? You can pick them up all day long on ebay for $20 or less and they are cheap and easy to get into working order.

I have more, but I'd need to photograph them.

Oh, I forget how pretty that one is. It's enough to make me want to spool up some 828 just to have an excuse to carry one. Is it pre-war?

William,
As near as I can tell--based on what I've seen on-line--yes. There are several numbers on it; one on the lens, a different number on the stand, and another different number on the shutter. It's not actually functional: the VF and RF are both unusable. Shutter and aperture seem OK. It is my one "shelf queen".

I can understand keeping a shelf queen in that kind of situation. Beautiful camera. Thank you for posting that picture.
