Rangefinder Forums is slowly becoming my family so thought I share a humble podcast I made some time ago about my Trans-African expedition on a motorcycle 2010-2011, continuously around a year on the African continent without returning home, over 30 000 kilometers and 22 African countries of sweat, tears, blood & happyness. Since I'm very much into World music, especially on the analog vinyl format that many I bought on the road as souvenirs, so I compiled a special 49 minutes long African podcast with music, some video footages combined with picture material I collected during the expedition, most of the pictures are from Sigma DP2s in this particular video. Excuse my bad english since it's not my native language.

...::: African Podcast :::...

Best viewed in HD and full screen since YouTube encoding massively degrades the picture quality, but should give you some overview.

Ride safe,

Looks cool -- just wish there was a 7 minute version -- 49 minutes is a lot :) Or it would be nice if you could post a photo gallery -- because I really liked some of the stills and would like to see as a grouping -- I couldn't watch the whole thing because the music and motorcycle helmet cam were messing with my equilibrium. I think you're intrepid -- that looks like an exhausting trip!

genius. love how the riding style changed towards the end to 'African Styles'.

reminds me of ripping around Lagos on Okadas over curbs, through gas station lots, into oncoming traffic... great fun!

I'm quite a fan of your trips Margus.
I want to revisit your work online and entretain me with some travel, when I did, I felt that I travelled, like if I were with you. A true to the world journal.

I think I did find the podcast sometime ago, but couldn't get through all of it. Perfect for a late calm night at home.
Slowly I get to know that I love most types of music; I do have a certain repulsion for some very commercial pop, though.

I opened the podcast before writing the post, and now I feel much better! Was a tough day.

Cheers guys!

Thanks for your opinion. I'm fully aware such things never weren't and aren't ment for everybody. :)

I've been thinking about photo gallery, but covering such a vast amount of different cultures & perspectives it's just too much photos to fit in, only making downgraded and stripped focus on particular area would work I guess.

Here you find many of the reports of the entire project, but it's 150+ pages, covers from technical to photography.

Cheers Margus. Had a quick preview, but have to nip to work. Will enjoy watching that in full when I get home.
