In my hands.... and sometimes up to my eye, then back to my hands again.
Sometimes theres a strap involved in the debacle which may rest on my shoulder, on my bag or rarely around my neck.
=)

This my 4000th post. (could not resist) Actually it is my 5000th post because a couple of years ago my number count just lowered itself by 1000. Anyway this is certified proof that I have no life and need to be out in the field more, but I do enjoy this forum very much and have made many good friends and learned a lot.
thanks😀

When not in my hands, on a shoulder strap "bandolier" style, like a rifle or shotgun.

I don't like using wrist straps or carrying around in the hand because when you're not shooting, you can't easily hold a drink or food. If camera doesn't take a strap (e.g., Agfa Super Isolette), it goes into a pocket or bag depending on size.

Neck strap and they hang off my shoulder...the Mamiya m645 neck strap wrapped around my wrist, it doesn't like hanging off my shoulder...
All the cameras I use regularly have straps...

Neck straps that can be wrapped around the wrist doubling as a wrist strap, slung over the shoulder or worn around the neck.

I leave a heavy-duty split ring on the right-side lug. When I'm shooting seriously, I attach a loop of strong lanyard leather (hiking boot lace) as a wrist strap to the split ring using a lark's head knot. The wrist strap is easily removed when not needed.

When I'm not shooting so seriously, I carry the camera either in a small case (often in one of the cylindrical padded Lowepro lens cases with a belt loop), or using the Leica shoulder strap, which has one of the best on/off mechanisms I've ever seen.

My Leica shoulder strap is easily removed and replaced, but it is not adjustable. The adjustment sliders are removed and the ends of the strap are sewn into loops with nylon thread, and taped.
