And this time it is the Mamiya 7II.
I did i big mistake to buy it new, and by UPS which almost ate all my budget in my CC, and i have to pay more again for tax and delivery when it will arrive here, just places the order few minutes ago, and i know that UPS are so quick to deliver it, so within 5-7 days i will get it i hope.

I bought only body, so i am looking to buy a lens, but used one this time, so i may save a bit, but i have one of three options: 43, 65, 80.
In fact i was thinking about 50mm as well, but because i have 50mm for RZII so i was thinking to change this focal length at least, even 80mm not sure about it because i want to go wider shots always, so i was thinking if i should look at 43 only, or 65 as well, or including 50mm to the options?

I bought mine a couple of months ago used with the 65mm and 150. The 65 is perfect for my style of shooting. I shoot mostly landscape and some street. I rarely use the 150.

Sometimes a 43mm or 80mm would be better for a particular shot but not enough to make me spend the money and spend the time changing lenses.

If I need wider I just back up or i take two or three pano shots and merge them. If I need narrower I just crop. The 80 is only a medium crop and there is so much information in the 6x7 that you don't notice.

I took some night street shots with Ilford 3200 pushed two stops and they came out great. I used eyeball focusing at f5.6 and f4 and I could not see any badly out of focus images.

Enjoy it! It is a great camera and has superb image quality!

Congrats as well. I bought a 7ii this week also. I have a used 50mm coming tomorrow. I chose the 50mm because I don't have that fl with my other systems and I read that it is an oustanding lens.

Cool, i can't wait to get it, come on UPS, hurry up, i can't wait! hehehe

I will keep checking for the lens, i may go with 2 lenses at the same time if i got both at reasonable prices, and i feel i should go with 43 and 80, no? or 43 and 65? or 50 and 80? or..... :D

I just bought a new M7II as well, and the new 65mm lens arrived yesterday. Spent the day wandering around with them, just testing everything. Definitely a "good" new toy! I have the 43 and the 65, don't see any need for the 50 or the 80, at least for my purposes. You'll love it - I do!

Cool, then i will narrow my search for those two lenses, thanks! :)

don't forget to get the pano tools as well for this precious

i'd go for 65mm which is similar to 35mm focal in 135 :)

Hey again,

So until the time i can get a lens for this camera, i would like to ask, where i can get a filter adapter ring for a lens 65mm [58mm] new? I mean LEE system, i saw in B&H 58mm adapter ring available, but the wide angle version is not, so will i have a vignetting with this lens if i didn't get a WA adapter ring? I don't want to buy that normal one and i have an issue with it and then i have to replace it, anyone use any filter adapter ring for this lens 65mm and tell me what did he/she find out?
