Hello All!

I just inherited an Agfa Karat IV Rangefinder from my father that is in serious need of a complete CLA (Clean, Lubricate, Adjust). Does anyone know a good camera person that handles this camera? Does anyone know if DAG or Sherry at Golden Touch works on this model?

Anybody have any information or history about this particular type of camera?

Thanks for any help.

Jim,

I had Dean Williams CLA'd several of my cameras, including an Agfa Karat IV. He is a very nice person, great to deal with. He is very familiar with Agfas, but is not afraid to tackle with any weird camera! He has a website www.deansofidaho.com

Best Regards,

I wouldn't know who could do one, but I've had a fair deal of success adjusting and cleaning my Karat myself! Mine was inherited from my mother (who passed away a while before I came into possession of it) so I understand how important it may be that it be done right. But if you're not afraid of a little bit of work, it's really satisfying to do it yourself!

Just some food for thought.

Enjoy the camera! It's great!
