AGFA Optima Sensor

Just bought an Agfa Optima Sensor, looks very nice, particularly the red dot shutter release. Now to my ear the shutter speeds seem all the same, also when opening the back of the camera and pointing the camera to light I cannot actually see any light pass into the camera at all, the shutter fires makes a sound and the shutter seems to work but still cannot see any comming through the camera

Did you check the batteries?
It is likely that your Agfa was just out of battery power. I have the same Agfa model and also 1035, 1535of the series. When without batteries, all of them would still make that funny sound once you depress the big red button, but then the shutter will not really work.
