In thread a while ago, Edward C. Zimmermann advise me to this for developing agfa ortho 25:
"Agfa in their booklet "Dokumentenfotografie fuer Amateure" suggest:
Rodinal 1 + 200 + 1% waterless Soda (Sodium Carbonate sicc.).
[5 ml Rodinal. Fill to 1 Liter with 20C water. Add 10g Soda sicc. and use immediately]
The times for Agfa Ortho 25 given were 6 min @ 20C. "Agfa Inversion": 1 min. continuous followed by inversion every 30 seconds."

I just want to ask, since the my dev tanks are 500ml full, should I cut half the quantites, so 500/201=2.48ml of rodinal+5g of soda sicc? Or I do what you said, but use only 500ml of the solution?

I also have some of this film, but have not shot any yet. I thought to do that maybe this weekend, but i cant scan any as my Vaio F11 is at service. I have not seen any examples online, but cant do much more than shoot and try.
Figured to try as the box says with Rodinal 1+10 for 5min at 20'C.
Paper dev is also possible with Neutol for 3min.

FWIW, I developed Adox Ortho 25 in Rodinal 1+50 for about 11 min with minimal agitation.
The result has good tonality especially the mid-tones.

What does the Sodium Carbonate contribute?

I do not know. "I am selling the same fish that I bought", portuguese expressation. I think the salt may be a stabilizer or delay the developer to create mid tones. Until last week I didn't got the sodium carbonate, but in the old photo lab of my universaty course department, I found a bottle full of it next to other developers powder cheamicals. Possibly the Sodium was use in various occasions.
I will develop on roll with that recipe and other one the same you did and see what diffrences, etc.
