I have several rolls of Agfa Scala in the fridge, my problem is if I shoot them, is there anyone in the UK (or Europe) that can develop it?

I would hate to bin it!

I'm in the exact same situation as you, and so's a friend of mine -- www.dr5.com, a US lab, will develop Scala using their own process. The results I've seen are fantastic, but of course, the higher cost may or may not be off-putting. 🙂

All Scala films can still be sent to a Paris lab for processing (see Primary UK's website for info) but I wouldn't recommend it. I've heard that it was the same lab that processed Scala for Joe's Basement in London shortly before it went under, and the slides I got back were appalling... some were scratched, and had drying marks on them, and I wasn't the only one who was unhappy with their service.

One of the two labs that process Scala in Italy is on my daily home-office route: if you want I can help you getting rolls developed. I think the process costs something around 6 euros, and if you don't mind having it in strips (I actually prefer it), I can send it back 2 u in an envelope...

Thank you all for the replies, so it looks Scala can still be developed, good news, I am going to put a roll in my Certo Six straight away!

Thanks again!

You can process Scala as a negative as well (a bit of a waste, but it can be done).
Rodinal 1+20, 8 minutes, 5 seconds agitation per minute.
